Kari Vargas Joins Second Harvest's Board Of Directors

Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida recently welcomed Kari Vargas to its board of directors.

Vargas is AdventHealth’s Market CEO for the West Orange and South Lake Counties, and serves as CEO of AdventHealth Winter Garden.

“Research shows food insecurity is one factor contributing to obesity and other health complications,” said Vargas. “That connection is one of the reasons why AdventHealth joined Second Harvest’s Health and Hunger Task Force.”

Vargas earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Central Florida and a master’s in business administration from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College.
