Officers of the Clermont Police Department greeted community members at the LeMont Coffee Lounge, 821 West Minneola Avenue, on Wednesday the 15th. The public had a dual opportunity of speaking with the Clermont police officers, including Chief Chuck Broadway, and touring the wide variety of businesses located within the Galleria at Soma.
“Partnerships such as this helps create an atmosphere that facilitates effective communication by breaking down the perceived barriers that so often exist between police officers and the citizens whom they serve” says Chief Broadway.
Coffee with a Cop is a nationwide program that reinforces good relationships between the community and local law enforcement agencies. The Clermont Police Department invites the public to join them for coffee and conversation in a relaxed atmosphere several times a year. The events are conducted at various host locations throughout the city and are announced on the departments Facebook page at www.facebook.com/ClermontPD.
