Lake Minneola High School Sports – Week in Review (February 11-17)
Monday, February 12
- The Boys Basketball team won their first game in the District Tournament against West Port, 86 – 81.
Tuesday, February 13
- The Softball Team started their season off with a bang with a 16 – 0 victory over Foundation Academy.
- In the Boys District Basketball Tournament, Lake Minneola lost to Edgewater 73 – 44.
- The Boys Weightlifting team defeated South Lake, 56-33! Dakota Southerland, Herberto Reyes, Jaylen Williams, Kenon Johnson, Fred Jackson, and Jacob Johnson all placed first in their weight class.
Thursday, February 15
- The Softball Team defeated South Sumter by a score of 9 – 1.
The JV team also won. - The Tennis Teams competed against East Ridge High.
The Girls team won 6 – 2,
The Boys team lost to East Ridge. - The Girls Lacrosse team lost their season opener at Cypress Creek High.
Upcoming Week
Tuesday, February 20
- Baseball Teams open their season against West Orange at home.
The JV game is at 4 pm and the varsity play at 7 pm. - Boys Lacrosse opens their season at Windermere.
- Softball plays at Osceola High
- Tennis plays Olympia High
Wednesday, February 21
- Girls Lacrosse has their home opener
- Weightlifting hosts Mt. Dora and Leesburg
Thursday, February 22
- Baseball travels to Tavares High
- Boys Lacrosse travels to Ocoee High
- Tennis travels to Dr. Phillips High
Friday, February 23
- JV Baseball will host Tavares High
- Boys Lacrosse will host University High.
- Girls Lacrosse will travel to Wekiva High
- Track will compete at Lake Highland Prep
