Beta Theta-Clermont, a chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha, held its 14th annual Mardi Gras-themed fundraiser and that evening raised more than $17,000. All proceeds from the event will be distributed this year among local charities, non-profit organizations, and local high school scholarships.

Because of the success of the Mardi Gras fundraiser, Beta Theta member Lisa Graham was able to visit Cooper Memorial Library to present a monetary donation.

Cooper Memorial Library, located at the Lake-Sumter State College, South Lake Campus, 2525 Oakley Seaver Dr., serves the community as well as the students of Lake-Sumter State College.

Save the Date: The 15thAnnual Mardi Gras will be held on February 23, 2019, at Clermont Performing Arts Center.
