The community is invited to the City of Clermont’s biggest event of the year.
Light Up Clermont is expected to dazzle families and friends with its stellar lineup of free holiday events on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 downtown and at the Clermont Performing Arts Center. This year’s theme is Holidays Around the World.
A helpful new addition this year, free shuttles will continuously run from 5-10 pm on November 30 for convenience. They will stop at two locations:
- Waterfront Park at the intersection of 2nd and Palm streets
- Clermont Middle School, 301 E. Ave., back parking lot
Friday’s festivities run from 5:30 pm -9:00 pm, including the 6:30 pm tree lighting ceremony, food trucks, live holiday music and a DJ, all downtown. Saturday features the 10 am holiday parade downtown followed by music, crafts and food vendors, and later that day, free concerts at 5 pm and 8 pm at the Clermont Performing Arts Center.
FRIDAY’S FESTIVITIES
Events kick off at 5:30 pm, November 30, with food trucks and the kid zone open from 5:30 pm-9:00 pm, as well as a DJ mixing music on Montrose Street between 8th Street and West Avenue. There will be bounce houses in the kid zone. You’re likely to run into themed stilt walkers and carolers throughout the evening, too.
At 6 pm, enjoy music on the mainstage at City Hall Park, as well as a performance by Santa’s Little Flippers (known for their stellar Sea World performances) in front of the Clermont City Center, on Lake Avenue and Montrose Street.
Don’t miss the big moment. At 6:30 pm, Mayor Gail Ash will lead the Light Up Ceremony at City Hall Park, followed by more live music on the mainstage.
And starting at 7 pm., children can get their photos taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Clermont City Center, 620 W. Montrose St., provided by the Kiwanis Club of South Lake County, which also provides Center Lake’s holiday displays.
Plus, Santa’s Little Flippers perform again at 8 p.m. to close out the night on Lake Avenue and Montrose Street.
SATURDAY’S LINEUP

Then, from noon-3 pm enjoy community acts on the main stage at City Hall Park.
Also on December 1, Montverde Academy will offer a free Lessons & Carols Concert with show times at 5 pm and 8 pm at the Clermont Performing Arts Center, 3700 S. Highway 27.
