The Clermont Police Department earned multiple awards at the 32nd Annual MADD Central Florida Law Enforcement & Prosecutors Recognition Ceremony held earlier today in Kissimmee, FL.

The Law Enforcement Agency Award of Excellence was presented to the Clermont Police Department. Also, Officer Ethan Bell won the Individual Award of Excellence, Officer Uziel Dubi was awarded the Rookie of the Year Award of Excellence and Sergeant Debbie Reasoner received the Traffic Homicide Investigator Award of Excellence.

The purpose of this ceremony was to pay tribute to the law enforcement officers and prosecutors who have gone above and beyond the call of duty in impaired driving enforcement.

Drunk driving is still the #1 cause of death on our roadways, with over 300,000 incidents a day leading to over 10,000 deaths and nearly 300,000 injuries every year. MADD Central Florida would like to remind everyone that drunk and drugged driving comes with a cost – and it is one that robs us of mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, spouses, and friends.
