Once upon a time radios were actually pieces of art, beautifully crafted and designed to please the eye. These two art deco beauties and the amazing speakers on the top shelf are just part of the collection of antique radios on display in the original Cooper Memorial Library located in Clermont’s Historic Village. The Library is also home to several other interesting collections including medical equipment, telephones, cameras, and Citrus Tower memorabilia.
The Historic Village is a unique partnership between the City of Clermont and the Clermont Historical Society and is located on the shores of beautiful Lake Minneola, not far from the historic downtown shopping district with its charming shops, tea room, restaurants, and breweries. This location makes it the ideal place to spend part of a relaxing afternoon. The Village is open every Friday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00 pm and every Saturday & Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Admission to the Village is always free but a $3.00 donation per person is requested.
