On Monday, Dec. 20, Clermont-Minneola Lions Club’s TOYS FOR TRUNKS program went to the Clermont Police Department for a round of toy donations.  Previous rounds have gone to Minneola and Groveland Police departments.

Lions collect various toys for distribution via local police with considerable emphasis on enabling officers to have a toy available during highly charged domestic calls, among the most dangerous calls that our officers encounter.

Lion Brown indicated that the Neville Shooting Range is open to the public and is the Club’s primary fundraiser and normally operates 8-noon on the second, third and fourth Saturdays.

The range is located on SR 50 directly across from Tractor Supply and the Groveland Public Safety Complex.  Patrons are encouraged to bring a toy for the program. The Handgun range fee is $15.00.  There is no accommodation for rifles, however, skeet shooting is available at the rate of $5.00 per 15 clays.  The Club offers training for Conceal and Carry via USS Academy.  For information, contact Mia Rodriquez at 407 289-6807 or M.Rock@ussagency.com.   The Club meets at IHOP monthly, 6 pm on the second Thursdays.  For information contact Lion Clif Brown at 631 835-5343 (text optional) or by email at: clifjb1963@gmail.com.
