The City of Mascotte is inviting businesses, nonprofits, healthcare providers, educational institutions, faith-based organizations, and community agencies to participate in its upcoming Career & Health Fair, scheduled for Saturday, September 19, from 10 am to 3 pm at the Mascotte Civic Center, 121 N. Sunset Avenue.
Organized by Councilwoman Robin Hughes, the event is designed to be much more than a traditional job fair. City leaders hope to create a one-stop resource hub where residents can access career opportunities, health and wellness services, educational resources, mentorship programs, and valuable community connections.
The city is seeking participation from a diverse range of organizations, including employers and businesses offering job opportunities, mental and behavioral health professionals, mentoring and youth development programs, churches and faith-based groups, colleges, universities, vocational and trade schools, healthcare providers, workforce development organizations, veterans’ service agencies, financial literacy and banking institutions, childcare providers, and nonprofit organizations serving the community.
Organizations offering internships, apprenticeships, workforce training, educational support, or other community services are also encouraged to participate.
“Strong communities are built through strong partnerships,” Hughes said. “Local government has a responsibility not only to identify the needs of its residents but also to bring together the people, businesses, churches, agencies, and organizations best equipped to help meet those needs.”
Participation in the event is completely free, with no vendor or registration fees required. Organizations interested in taking part are encouraged to complete and return the participation application as soon as possible to reserve their space and be included among the event’s community partners.
City officials hope the fair will create meaningful opportunities for residents seeking employment, healthcare resources, educational advancement, mentorship, financial guidance, or other forms of support.
“My hope is that someone will walk into this event seeking a job, support, guidance, mentorship, healthcare resources, education, or simply a new opportunity—and walk out connected to something that can positively impact their future,” Hughes said.
The City of Mascotte anticipates bringing together local businesses, ministries, nonprofits, educators, healthcare professionals, mentors, and community organizations for a day focused on service, partnership, and opportunity.
