Lake County residents ages 15 through 24 are invited to apply for the 2026 Clermont Youth Council, an opportunity for young people to become involved in their community while developing valuable leadership skills.

Youth Council members will have the opportunity to help shape Clermont’s future, learn more about city government and connect with local leaders and other young people. Members will also earn volunteer credits through their participation.

As members of the 2026 Clermont Youth Council, participants will:

  • Help shape the city’s future
  • Develop valuable leadership skills
  • Meet other young leaders
  • Earn volunteer credits
  • Meet the mayor, City Council members and city staff
  • Learn more about Clermont’s local government

The Clermont Youth Council meets twice a month after school.

To be eligible, applicants must be Lake County residents between the ages of 15 and 24.
