Instead of attending a traditional faculty meeting on Wednesday, April 17, teachers, administrators and other employees at Windy Hill Middle School have been invited to spend that time beautifying the campus.
They are calling it “Give Back Day,” an act of community service.
Immediately after dismissal, participants will meet in the cafeteria for refreshments provided by United Retirement. Then, aligning with Earth Day, which is celebrated nationally on April 22, they will pull weeds, plant wildflower seeds, spread mulch in the flower beds and pick up trash around the campus. They can also hunt for hidden eggs with prizes while they work, courtesy of 4-H.
