- Law Enforcement Officer
- Correctional Officer
- 911 Dispatch
- EMT & Paramedic
Below is a preview of several exciting demonstrations taking place.
EMS Programs – EMT and Paramedic:
- “Apollo” – a lifelike mannequin simulator. He talks, breathes, and reacts to treatment!
- EMS equipment will be on display
- Ambulance on site
Law Enforcement, Public Safety Telecommunications (911), & Corrections:
- Defensive tactics demonstrations – “take down” moves and removal of weapons from criminals
- Firearms simulator
- “Drunk goggles” simulator
- Law enforcement vehicles on site
Firefighting:
- Rope/repelling demonstrations
- Hose pulling, spraying and extinguishing controlled fires
- Search and rescue – climbing ladders to save the victims and bringing them to safety
- Fire trucks on site
Ø Admissions and Financial Aid representatives will be available to answer questions.
Ø Lake County Schools and Lake Sumter State College will also be on site to discuss career pathways and articulation of hours/credits.
Ø Community fire and law partners will be there to discuss careers opportunities and openings within their agencies.
