Poetry Contest

The East Lake County Library is holding its 17th Annual Poetry Contest in honor of April as National Poetry Month. Entries are being accepted now until May 3, 2019. 

The Poetry Contest is for all ages and will be separated into three age groups. : 

Children’s Group Teen Group Adult Group 

0-12 years old 13-18 years old 19 and up 

There is no limit to how many entries can be submitted by one person. One form can be submitted for multiple poems. 

Qualifying Entries Should Be… 

  • On Any Topic 
  • Any Style of Writing 
  • Preferred Typed – Name should NOT on front of poem 
  • Each Poem should be on ONE page of 8 ½ x 11” paper 
  • Deadline May 3, 2019 

Hard Copies should have name and age group on BACK OF POEM 

Prizes will be awarded to the top three winners in each age group 

  • 1st place – $50 Gift certificate to Books-A-Million 
  • 2nd place – $25 Gift certificate to Books-A-Million 
  • 3rd place – $15 Gift certificate to Books-A-Million
