Clermont couple Brandi and Marc DeVita opened the Clermont Cafe in 2018 and since have served good home-cooked, country-style meals to its diners.
Chef Marc DeVita is originally from Hopedale, Massachusetts, and moved to Clermont years ago with his family. Marc was a chef and a manager of popular restaurants. Brandi formerly had a successful career in sales, marketing, event planning, and social media services with Calypso Cay Resorts. Marc and Brandi met in 2010 while working at a restaurant and married in 2016.
Brandi shares, “We love the warm friendly hometown feel of Clermont and our longtime dream of owning our own small neighborhood café came true in 2018″. With the support from family, the couple ventured into the restaurant business when a downtown Clermont sandwich shop went up for sale.
“We use plenty of locally resourced fruits, vegetables and products and hope that everyone who dines at the Clermont Cafe will enjoy our high-quality food, personalized service and our freshly prepared meals, which always are served with a big portion of love from our hearts!”
Breakfast begins at 8 am and runs until 10:45 am with a steady stream of regulars. ‘Town Favorite’ Biscuits & Sausage Gravy, Breakfast Burritos, Breakfast Sandwiches and custom-made three-egg omelets are favorites among locals. Many customers love their baked muffins toasted with melted butter.
Lunch service is from 10:45 am to 2:00 pm, serving cold hand-sliced and gourmet pressed sandwiches. The “Italian” is a popular choice that includes ham, Genoa salami, mortadella, capicola, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, hot cherry peppers, oil and vinegar. Most of the desserts and baked goods are homemade. A Kid’s Menu is available and Clermont Cafe even sells its custom-made secret recipe hot sauce by the bottle. Dine-In or Take-Out. They keep it fresh by offering weekly specials. Visit their website for the full menu at: http://www.clermontcafe.com/.
The Clermont Cafe is open Mondays through Saturdays; closed on Sundays. Outdoor seating is available and there is always a fresh bowl of iced water ready for your pet(s). Service dogs are always welcome indoors.
The Clermont Café Art Gallery walls are decorated with artwork from local area artists. They have sold over 170 pieces of art to support local artists in the past few years. Brandi notes, “We do our best to get to know everyone by name. If you are new to us and Clermont, we really do look forward to seeing you soon!”
